The remains of summer

The last couple of days Marc has been taking care of our garden. It has been a tad neglected. It kind of falls as one of the last priorities at the moment. As I walked out this afternoon, I smelled the fresh cut grass, saw the blue sky, the smell of fresh laundry on the line, the sun setting and then …I saw the last remains of the flowers from the summer. How can it be? How could this season go by so fast? I grabbed my macro lens, I took a few snaps of the last standing flowers, some already lost some petals, some are withering,some already gone.

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For,

“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord endures forever.”   – 1 Peter 1:23-25

I played a bit with photoshop, so there’s a few edits from the same photo… and I had to add a spider for my son:)
